I use it, but there are some things I dislike. Let me take some time to tell you about this handy software. I have yet to play around with the current version 5.įull disclosure: I am a registered owner of Scrivener. Features: - Write and store complete novels - Keep background details of characters, events, locations and ideas. I played around with version 4, and it IS a very capable program, in my opinion. WriteItNow 6 is the ideal writing software for NOVICE AND EXPERIENCED WRITERS of fiction and non-fiction. It reflects the developer's mind-set, I think. If you like it buy codes to convert it to the full version.

WriteItNow was originally ported over from the PC world, so it retains that PC look and feel, even to this day. WriteItNow runs on PCs (Windows 7, 8 and 10) and Macs (OS X) if the free demo runs on your computer the full version will as well. IT'S UNNECESSARILY 'BUSY' AND HAS AN UNNECESSARILY COMPLICATED FEATURE SET. I'M GOING TO SHOUT NOW AND BOLD FACE THIS PART FOR ANY SCRIVENER DEVELOPERS WHO MAY STUMBLE UPON THIS POST: WHY NOT ADD THIS FEATURE TO SCRIVENER.
SCRIVENER DEVELOPERS, here's a suggestion: On some software I've purchased (can't remember which ones, as this was 'in the past'), one could toggle on/off an 'ADVANCED' feature, which would then give one the full feature set of the program. Unfortunately, the software is what I call 'busy-body' software, and I'm gong to accuse Scrivener of that, too, by the way. Wow, WriteItNows website hasnt been updated graphically since the mid 90s.
