Armin able to access some of Bertolt’s memories. If Isayama wants to be really cruel, he could end the chapter on a cliff-hanger, which would set up the beginning of the next story arc. What I’d like to see is Historia using her ‘Reiss Powers’ to help Armin remember some of Bertolt’s memories (wishful thinking on my part, but a girl can dream, can’t she?) I imagine the characters will be talking about what was in Grisha’s journals and what to do next… This means I’m expecting it to be a discussion heavy chapter, rather then one with lots of action. My best guess is that this will mean we might get answers to some of our burning questions. Chapter 86 is the final chapter of Volume 21, AND the last chapter of this current story arc (if our predictions are correct). This month there are a few more bits of info to remember: Currently yonkou’s bio says: “SnK ~ 5th-7th every month (not guaranteed)”, however yonkou has even given an ETA for Chapter 86 of 4th-6th(on October 2nd) Spoilers for the new chapter could be released as early as the 4th, or as late as the 6th.If you don’t want to see posts or reblogs about Chapter 86, I’ll be using the tags ‘SnK Spoilers’ and ‘SnK Chapter 86′, so you always have the option to blacklist It’s that time of the month again when spoilers for the new SnK chapter are imminent so it’s also time to remind followers old & new that: Keep reading zeke jaeger grisha jaeger snk 86 paradise lost meta christianity shingeki no kyojin personal reiner braun bertolt hoover annie leonhardt for the record I'm still a christian and this is not intended to attack Christianity just fundamentalism and brainwashing children We are once again choosing between God and the devil (the fact that sign of the revivalists is a cross they cut into themselves is likely no coincidence). So when we learn that the Eldians were the original aggressors, and the Mareyans’ attempts at genocide are simply a response, we are supposed to feel conflicted, to see both sides of the conflict. Despite Milton’s intent, PL is remembered for its disturbingly grey morality. PL claims to “justify the ways of God to man,” yet it is well known for portraying the devil (who is definitely shown to be cruel and cold) as sympathetic. This, according to the Mareyans, is justice. Likewise, Snk 86, the Eldians are now forced to suffer for the crimes of their ancestors. In PL, God sees justice as humanity cursed to hell for their ancestors’ crimes, even though the new generations didn’t choose that. To start, this chapter illuminates Isayama’s Paradise Lost influence. As someone who grew up brainwashed into a fundamentalist yet charismatic Christian sect that bordered on cult-like, I recognized many areas of this chapter.

Snk 86, in addition to being a satisfying plot dump currently burning holes in my emotional soul (Fay and Dina, I barely knew you), struck a bit of a nerve for me.
